The counter changes as the light moves across the room. Here is what to expect at each point in the day. Bakes are limited, so earlier is kinder to your chances.

Morning bakes

Warm from the first bake, with the espresso dialled in before the doors open.

Afternoon sweets

The slow hours: a slice, a pot of tea and nowhere you need to be.

Our house espresso is chocolatey and round. The filter rotates weekly and leans bright. Use this guide, or just ask at the bar.

Oat and whole milk come at no extra charge. Every coffee can be made decaf. Bags of the house espresso are on the shelf by the till.

Dogs welcome: Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the terrace and at the front tables. Water bowls are by the door.
Laptops: Laptops are welcome on weekdays. At weekends we keep the big table free for brunch groups.
Step-free: Level entry, wide aisles and an accessible washroom at the back of the room.
Bakes sell out: Morning pastries are usually gone by late morning. Pre-order a box if you need them.
Allergens: Every item has a card at the counter. Ask and we'll talk you through the kitchen.
Walk-ins first: Tables for up to five are walk-in only. Larger groups can enquire below.

Tell us the day and roughly how many. We'll reply by email to confirm a table or your pastry box, usually the same day.

The long table seats six to twelve.
Pastry boxes of six or twelve, ready for pick-up from 07:30.
Birthday cakes need a few days' notice.
